We are currently seeking a Paralegal Supervisor to be located at our corporate office in San Antonio, TX.
Position Summary: Reviews, negotiates, & drafts complex client contracts under attorney supervision. Supports all attorneys in the review, negotiation, administration, maintenance and monitoring of company contracts. Develops and maintains legal department processes for various practice areas (examples include intellectual property, litigation, etc). Supports attorneys in the provision of varied legal services to internal clients. Serves as liaison with third parties, clients and outside legal counsel. Responsible for the supervision of paralegals.
Key Duties / Responsibilities: Responsible for the training, development, and supervision of paralegals. Assists in the management of the legal department processes. Reviews and drafts language for various contracts under attorney supervision. Provides support to attorneys and supervises other paralegals in connection with assigned practice areas. Processes NDA requests.
Education & Knowledge Required: Bachelor's degree in business or related field required. Paralegal certificate required. CLA or advanced professional certification preferred. Superior understanding of standard contract terms. Able to conduct Internet legal research. Knowledge of advanced business law principles and/or paralegal duties, including an advanced understanding of contracts and contract law principles.
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required: 10 years experience as a paralegal, with training in a law firm transaction practice preferred. Advanced MS Office Skills required (especially Word and Excel). Superior reading, writing, and written/oral communication skills. Proven supervisor and Project Management leadership abilities. Ability to develop and present confident, results driven, and meaningful information to management. Ability to multi-task. Proven contract review/negotiation abilities. Working knowledge of standard office equipment. Proven phone and e-mail correspondence skills across processes.
