In 2002 a group of individuals began discussing the need for a nationally affiliated paralegal organization in San Antonio and the South Texas area, and thus, the formation of South Texas Organization of Paralegals, Inc. aka "STOP."

STOP had its first meeting on January 28, 2003, and great strides have been made since then. Word quickly spread about the new Organization, and membership has steadily increased.

The success of the Organization has been due to the commitment of its members, a positive attitude, and a desire to help working paralegals, as well as students aspiring to get into this field.

We are a group of individuals that share our experience, education, talent, and belief that continuing legal education should be, and should always remain, top priority.

This is our primary goal.
